SOLDER PASTE FLUX
Solder paste flux is a specialized material used in electronics assembly, particularly for surface‑mount technology (SMT). It is essentially a thick paste composed of tiny particles of solder alloy suspended in flux. The flux component plays a critical role by cleaning oxidation from metal surfaces, preventing further oxide formation, and ensuring that the molten solder flows smoothly to create strong, reliable joints. The paste is typically applied to printed circuit boards (PCBs) using a stencil, which deposits precise amounts onto pads where components will be placed. Once the board is populated, it goes through a reflow process in which controlled heat melts the solder particles, allowing them to bond the components securely to the board.
